After Mini-UBOCs four-barreled salvo Sunday we returned to action Monday with three more tournaments. The first to start would also be the first to endour $10K GTD Deep-Stack Turbo event. A grand total of 707 players dropped the gloves and started swinging from the opening bell, but the last two players left standing were MLP2010 and SOLOVYOV88.

The latter held about a 9-1 chip lead and with only about 5 big blinds MLP2010 naturally put his chips in holding . SOLOVYOV88 also naturally called with his and when the flop came MLP2010 was desperate for an Ace or a trey. Neither was forthcoming on the turn or river and SOLOVYOV88, who finishing second in the Sunday $200K GTD back on January 9th, closed the deal this time to capture a Mini-UBOC title and pocket $3,287.55.

Players who love action tend to like turbo events and Rebuy events have the same gambling appeal. So the next event on Mondays docket, a $10K Unlimited Rebuy tournament, was an appetizing second course. 540 players bellied up to the buffet and helped themselves to 998 rebuys and 686 add-ons, creating a prize pool that more than doubled the guarantee and made the first-place prize money soar to a stunning $5,448.80.

And the battle for that cash and the Mini-UBOC title came down to YUMI555 and WAPMACHINE. YUMI555 held a 3-1 chip lead and after opening for a raise WAPMACHINE moved in. YUMI555 called holding to WAPMACHINEs and after flopping a Ten YUMI555 turned an Ace to seal the deal.

The final event of the day was a $40K Deep-Stack tourney and play did indeed go deep into the night, concluding around 4AM. Of the 853 players in the field only a handful were still playing in the wee hours, and Tiffany Michelle was one of them, finishing in 23rd place.

But the two players left standing as dawn threatened were XXSLIXTERXX and BEER_PONG_EC. You always pray for a big hand when youre heads-up for a big title and payday and if XXSLIXTERXX made any divine entreaties there were rewarded on this night, as he raised preflop holding and was probably delighted when BEER_PONG_EC moved all-in. He was indeed ahead of BEER_PONG_ECs but that still meant a few queasy moments waiting to see if an Ace appeared on the board. But that would not be the case on this night.

XXSLIXTERXX won the pot, the Mini-UBOC title, and the $9,745.52 first prize. Not a bad way to conclude Mini-UBOCs second day.
